Billy Reid began his namesake clothing line in Florence, Alabama. Florence is Southern living at its best - known for lovely architecture, musical influence and artistic charm. The company headquarters is in a historic bookstore - with the flagship shop downstairs & design studio on the second floor.
Beyond his fashion line, Billy Reid has made his place in Florence by hosting an annual “Shindig.” This hot summer weekend event is a celebration of fashion and its ability to transform our worlds – the Shindig has hosted The Raconteurs, Kacey Musgraves, and Jack White, as well as a list of James Beard award-winning chefs.
Reid lists Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and Perry Ellis as some of his influences - designers that are known to elevate American style. The line is known for its relaxed charm and rolled up elegance - channeling the spirit of the American South.
